A DAY WITH MY DAUGHTER....

Today I spent time with my daughter.  She is getting ready head to Seattle for two
weeks to visit her boyfriend.  It is a real life "Sleepless in Seattle" story.  They
met in the Airport while she was in Las Vegas for the PBR Finals and he was
in town celebrating his 40th Birthday.  That was almost two years ago.  She is
excited and yet nervous about going as she is terrified to fly.  While on a flight
home from New York years ago the plane hit turbulence and dropped quickly
scaring her to death and causing my world wide traveler to not travel so much.
When she met Greg and had to start making the 8 hour flights from Florida I
thought she might get over her fear of flying but she still gets  nervous before
every flight.  I did not help yesterday I ran into the drug store to get a newspaper,
I only check the ad section and coupons to be sure they are there.  I jumped
into the car, handed her the paper and she said "really mom, your showing me
this two days before I leave".  We had been busy and had not been watching
the news and plastered all over the front page was the recent Airplane Accident
in San Francisco.  We sat down tonight to watch the ABC Evening News and the
entire episode was on the plane crash and how to survive a crash.  She kept trying
to change the channel and the remote would not work.  I think she is terrified
but we all do crazy things for love and I know she will get on that plane tomorrow.

I will miss her but I pray she has a wonderful time, she deserves it.  She is such
a wonderful daughter, when times get rough she keeps me going.  So I'm asking
everyone to pray for a smooth, non-eventful flight for her to Seattle.
